The vision for CCM
As a community of believers, united through a shared faith, the Catholic Community of Manchester will seek to live the Gospel by fostering an atmosphere of hospitality and welcome within a vibrant parish life.

Grounded in the values of collaboration and inclusivity, the Catholic Community of Manchester will endeavor to recognize and empower the gifts of all parishioners. We will assist each other in deepening our faith as we journey to holiness. We will strive to be bold and prophetic in our ministry as Jesus modeled.

The Catholic Community of Manchester is committed to providing supportive and effective pastoral leadership. We are committed to a variety of communication processes that respond to the challenges of the future.
Why has CCM been formed?
CCM was established to be a proactive and collaborative response to the challenges of the future. Developing a high-level Pastoral Plan, which is to be implemented in our four Manchester parishes, CCM will explore areas in which we can utilize the time and talent of our parishes, including coordinating Mass times, special liturgies, penance services, adult and youth faith education, welcoming and hospitality and social justice.
Who are the members of CCM?
Every parishioner of the four Catholic churches in Manchester is a member! Ten committees have been formed to create action plans for the implementation of the collaborative Pastoral Plan. Members from each of the four parishes are on each committee.
CCM Committees
Adult Faith Formation Developing common programs to promote understanding of the Gospels in accord with Catholic teaching and foster forms of pastoral leadership for all.
Communication Providing vehicles to inform and facilitate collaboration among the parishes and the community.
Parish Structure Exploring and being open to new, authentic ideas, options and models of parish life and ministry.
Prayer and Liturgy Finding ways to nurture our common Catholic faith by providing varieties of prayer expressions.
School Administration Maximizing opportunities for collaboration among the parochial elementary schools.
Shared Leadership Providing opportunities to share gifts and talents and empower the laity to assume their rightful place in the Church.
Social Justice Teaching and modeling the message of the Gospel, especially with a preferential option for the poor and vulnerable in collaboration with other faith groups and agencies.
Welcoming and Hospitality Identifying means of welcoming newcomers into the parishes and of uniting the parishes in the celebration of our unity and diversity.
Youth Faith Formation Fostering quality faith formation and development for the youth of our parishes.
